About Me
I am a 5th year PhD candidate in the Department of Bioengineering at Northeastern University, located in Boston, MA. I am a member of the Integrated Cardiovascular and Pulmonary (ICAP) team, advised by Prof. Jessica M. Oakes and Prof. Chiara Bellini. My dissertation research utilizes experimental data and high-fidelity computational mechanics simulations to investigate the cardiopulmonary health implications following repeated wildland fire smoke inhalation, in the context of wildland firefighters.
Prior to Northeastern University, I received my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, graduating magna cum laude and with departmental honors in mechanical engineering. For my undergraduate thesis I developed an agent-based network algorithm to model the spread of low-prevalence close-contact diseases, such as HIV.
